It appears that my “CTR_stretch_spine_a” bone is parenting the “DEF_hip.R” bone and that is causing the right leg to still be moving when I move the “CTR_stretch_spine_a” bone. Should I simply unparent the “DEF_hip.R” bone?

    • Jerry Lee says:

Yes, you just need to remove its parent. In fact, you could also leave it as is, because the issue will be resolved once the rigging for the leg is fully completed.

I sent you two emails on Sunday abouyt this issue I am having with the “CTR_stretch_spine_a” bone at 12:50 in the video. Before you parented the “CTR_FK_hip_a” bone to the “CTR_IK_spine_a” bone, the “CTR_stretch_spine_a” bone moved the tail and the right leg. Mine did the same. After parenting, the “CTR_stretch_spine_a” bone no longer moved the trail nor the leg. I did not get the same result. When I now move the “CTR_stretch_spine_a” bone, the tail no longer moves but the leg still does. In the second email I attached my blend file that shows my rig up to this point in hopes you might be able to check it. Thank you. I am going to continue to finish the video but am prepared to go back to this saved point and make corrections.
